Fabric Choices
 
In order to keep costs down and be able to provide as many as possible, fabrics will be a surprise. However fabrics will be as suitable as possible for the individual. I now have some larger amounts of fabric, you can specifically request these in the notes.
 
General information and disclaimers
In line with the most up to date guidence, our masks are made with 100% cotton which provides the tightest possible weave. Our usual jersey prints have a wider weave and are therefore unsuitable for masks.
 These masks feature a nose piece which can be bent to provide the best fit. There are two layers of cotton, and one layer of polypropylene which is the hydrophobic layer recommended by the WHO.
 
Please understand that our masks are not a replacement or substitute for medical grade PPE and this mask is not a medical device.
 
Please remember that use of face masks is not intended to replace other recommended measures to stop the community spread of COVID-19, such as social distancing, washing your hands and refraining from touching your face.
A cloth face covering should cover your mouth and nose while allowing you to breathe comfortably.
Wash your hands or use hand sanitiser before putting it on and after taking it off and after use.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth at all times and store used face coverings in a plastic bag until you have an opportunity to wash them.
Do not touch the front of the face covering, or the part of the face covering that has been in contact with your mouth and nose.
Once removed, make sure you clean any surfaces the face covering has touched. You should wash a face covering regularly. It can go in with other laundry, using your normal detergent.
 
There is an option for a filter pocket, but at present these do NOT include a filter.
